Campaign Story

My name is Kristin. I am happily married to my husband Austin and we have two biological children. In 2023, family friends of ours placed their newborn child with us due to significant mental health concerns  from biological parents and we had him for 20 months. We raised this baby and loved him as if he we’re our own. After a child support order was served, they became nasty and started fighting to get him back through the court and it was a long nasty drawn out fight and we ultimately lost because we aren’t the child’s biological parents. It’s a sad, harsh reality in the court system that we have today.We loved this little boy like our own child. We are grieving and devastated to say the least. Before this child came to live with us, we thought we were done expanding our family but after having such a miracle and bright light come into our family we quickly realized how desperately we want just one more of our own. One that the courts can never take away from us. That type of pain, is a pain we wouldn’t wish on anyone nor is it a pain we can endure again. However, in April of 2025 I unexpectedly became pregnant and the baby was stuck in my fallopian tubes. I went in for emergency surgery and was bleeding  interally. I lost my fallopian tubes due to the eptopic pregnancy and Because of this, I cannot get pregnant without IVF treatment. We are grieving and not sure why things have happened the way they have but we know God has a plan for us.
